Upon arrival to the village, we begin to set up our mobile clinic. In stage 1, villagers enter the triage area where the necessity and priority of treatment are determined.
Once triage is complete, medical personnel conduct a clinical assessment in the second stage of the clinic.
After clinical examination and possible treatment from the doctor, the people are sent to our mobile pharmacy in stage 3. Here they can fill any prescriptions that may have been given by the physician. The pharmacy usually contains simple medicines such as antibiotics, antihistamines, anthelmintics (parasite meds), anti-inflammatory, pain reducers, cough syrup and decongestants, multivitamins, etc. They are also given a family pack which contains an assortment of personal hygiene items along with Gospel literature.
Gospel literature is also distributed throughout the villages to those who may not have attended the clinic.
Multiple opportunities are taken to present the Gospel message.
We generally provide our own food and cook.
